just a query, what's the difference between 'linen' and other materials for oil? Thank you

Linen canvas, as opposed to cotton canvas, is more permanent. Also easier to work on if its ground is lead white as opposed to acrylic gesso.

Oh...How beautiful this scene is !!!What a glorious array of curious cats!They look lovely set in the window!....That's a very long tail peeping out from the curtain!..They look so real that I could lean forward and close them!!!
