Now, that's funny, and I don't mean the drawing. I just sent you a PM about this very subject. I wonder how I missed this one during my first browse.
YES..SAYS A LOT ABOUT THE MEN THAT SERVE THE USA...BROTHERS IN ARMS???IS THERE A TRIBUTE TO COL. RIPLEY THERE??
A tribute to Col. Ripley is implied. I worked from the greatest sculpture of the 20th century, in my opinion: Frederick Hart's "Three Soldiers" which stands facing the Vietnam War Memorial in D.C., commonly called "The Wall". This is what Hart said about his sculpture: "...there is about them the physical contact and sense of unity that speaks of bonds of love....And yet each one is alone. Their true heroism lies in these bonds of loyalty, in their aloneness, and in their vulnerability." (Frederick Hart)
Wow, Sir, a very strong and emotional drawing
