Their heeere! hehe, sorry couldn't help it.
I definitely enjoy the way you caught the light through the hair, came out real well. Though the tv and surrounding area might have benefited by some darkness (since bright light causes a pupil to dilate making dark areas even darker), but doesn't really matter since I certainly don't believe something needs to be perfectly "real" looking to be a good piece of art. Especially since i'm a fan of surreal art.
You're right. This isn't Naturalism. It's Romantic Art based on Aristotle's idea that Art is greater than history because Art shows things, not the way they are, but the way they might be and ought to be.

Something you may appreciate,
I met a guy a week or so ago with an original Red Skelton painting that was given to him personally. I think my jaw bounced of my crutches on the way to the floor, lol. Apparently he new him from old Shriner's events. I have always thought Skelton was a funny guy since I was a very young kid (with the likes of Victor Borge/Ray Stevens).
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
