I don't like relying on comparing to other artists to convey my feelings, but there's an ethereal quality here, a subdued surreality that feels like a Wyeth (,Andrew) portrait. The harsh strokes in the hair, the delicate tangle with the branch of the same width, it gives me that cool and dry feeling I get from a piece where the artist considered rendering space.

Thank you. Yes, the twin towers. Although the beach is Indiana Beach looking toward Chicago.
