Moonwalk by hank1 Moonwalk by hank1
Colored Pencil
15 x 20"
1976

Working as a cartographer for the county surveyor from 1975 to 1977, the county Art Restoration Committee hired me to make four 3 by 5' paintings on the walls of the Courthouse. This was one of the drawings I had to show to give them my ideas for the final paintings. The subject they asked for was on the theme of "transportation". So after work and the court house was empty. I was given a key and was happy to work alone. I'd work until 10PM on these paintings. Took four months to complete, and I was paid the great sum (in those days) of $175.00 for each painting.
